I'm pretty sure he's suffering from a terrible dinosaur burnout syndrome. I really hope he'll return someday.
I hope so too, we need him especially now, with the recent finding of a near-record sized ánd possibly near-record complete titanosaur from the Candeleros formation in Argentina. See recent CNN report on it and paper by Otero et al.
