Brachiosaur Death's Head by Paleo-King Brachiosaur Death's Head by Paleo-King
Experimental concept Giraffatitan (HMN t1) totenkopf logo. Crossed femurs are clones of HMN St 291 (NOT to scale with skull). Parody piece primarily for new art group dedicated to accurate paleoart: paleo-nazis.deviantart.com/.

And as for those "awesomebro" trolls who speak mendaciously of realistic hi-fi paleoartists being "Paleo-Nazis" .... well, you asked for it. But thanks for the idea.

We're simply loyal (to the evidence) til the end. Nothing more, nothing less. You only see what you choose to see. We do not see such illusions.

Fun concept. No matter what some people might say (they probably see what they want to see anyway).

Hey Tuomas! Thanks. We were just thinking of inviting you. Check your messages, I sent an invitation. We want to get as many talented paleo-realist artists joined up, so feel free to invite friends.

You're Knights Paleo?  The skull-and-crossbones was originally a Knights Templar symbol for death, used on the tombstones of heroes.  Pirates later co-opted it to scare Templar treasure ships defending the high seas — "Death to the Templars" as it were.  At least the Knights Templar had a more noble and civilized organization, not just military but also in banking and science, than the National Socialists.  (The German is no obstacle.  The Knights Templar were all over Europe.)  Just watch out for indebted French kings and the "Priory of Skeleton". =p

It's a Waffen-SS parody since many arrogant "awesomebro" JP fanboys are going around harassing realistic paleoartists as "Paleo-Nazis" for daring to defend scientific accuracy (as well as our own copyrights). So some of us decided to take ownership of the slur as sarcasm and found our own art group for realistic paleo-art only (i.e. no JP fanart or "awesomebro" slop allowed). The logo could have been different, but I didn't feel that SS bolts and Hakenkreuz were all that necessary here.

No we're not referencing the knights templar here but thanks, I am aware of their use of skull and crossbones (as well as the masons), however this image is not based on the templar version. The templars have been heavily romanticized in fiction and hard facts are scarce, how "noble" they were is today purely a matter of opinion at most. Also German military units before the National Socialists (and unrelated to the ancient templars) were using the uniquely German "totenkopf" variant with the bones just barely crossed at a very low angle. The templar/pirate/masonic/skull&bones versions had a steeper incline to the femurs, some cases nearly perpendicular to each other. But no problem I will watch out for those greedy French kings lol. :XD: Especially the beardless ones who like slow-roast barbecues, you really can't trust those.

Ah, I stand corrected.  Well, don't worry about me, I'm a loud-mouthed schnook rather than an "awesomebro".  You're more awesome than I (at least with paleontology, German history, and a variety of various other scholarly things), and I have no siblings. =p

The crazy thing is this only took one night. First time (other than SVP) where I actually had to make an image less detailed to make it work.

lol. Awesomebro trolls thought that hurling names would hurt our feelings or make us give up our intellectual property rights. They sure showed us, didn't they? :XD: Sieg die Ehre.
